The turn signal relay is a switch that is responsible for flashing the turn signals. The speed of the turn signal differs per motorcycle and depends on the set flashing frequency. Ideally this is set at 90 blinks per minute, but should stay between 60 and 120 as that number is legally established. When the original turn signals are replaced by LED ones, an adjustment will also have to be made to the relay. Because LED has less power, the power no longer matches and the indicators will flash much faster than with the original.
