Used, second-hand Suzuki GSX 1100 G 1991-1996 (GSX1100G GV74A) Fuel Pump parts.
The fuel pump is part of the fuel system and ensures that the fuel can be constantly pumped to the engine for optimum combustion. By means of pressure, the fuel is transferred from the tank through the fuel lines to the carburetor or injectors, which then pass the fuel to the combustion chamber. There are two types of fuel pumps and they have the same function, only they work differently. The mechanical fuel pump works in conjunction with the carburetor and is mounted on the engine. The fuel is sucked up with a kind of vacuum and led to the carburetor. The suction power depends on the speed of the engine. The electric fuel pump can be found in the more modern motorcycles. This pump is often located in the fuel tank itself and builds up constant pressure with the help of an internal pump motor from the first moment the engine is started.
