Starter Motor

WAI Starter motor 16087N
New part
The starter motor is part of the starter system. The moment the ignition key is turned and the start button pressed, the starter motor receives power from the battery. The pinion gear connected to the starter ring gear begins to rotate and sets the crankshaft in motion. When the crankshaft has reached the required speed and the engine is running, the starter motor is no longer needed and is disengaged when the start button is released. Tools such as a reduction gear can be added to increase starting power.
