Engine Stator Cover
Kawasaki Z 650 1977 C1 (Z650)
Good, shows wear from long time (heavy) use
The engine stator cover is a cover often visible on the outside of the engine that protects the alternator and flywheel. The flywheel spins around the stator and would be fragile without a cover. Depending on the type of motorcycle, the stator is attached directly to the inside of the cover. To prevent oil leakage, the engine stator cover contains a gasket.
