The Yuasa YTZ5S gel battery is a maintenance-free battery with a long service life. An advantage of a gel battery is that they are already activated in the factory and therefore no longer need to be filled with battery acid. Gel batteries also have to be charged 100 percent before mounting. The battery may have been activated by the factory, but how long has it been on the way? Therefore, first fully charge the battery with a suitable battery charger. Although a gel battery discharges less quickly than an acid-containing battery, it is wise to put it on the battery charger during a longer period of standstill. This extends the battery's life and saves you unnecessary costs for a new battery.
